When you use The Org browser extension on a LinkedIn profile, we try to match that profile to a position page on The Org. Sometimes we’re not able to find a match. Below are some of the possible reasons why:
The person doesn't have an active role
Every position page on The Org represents an active role, so if a person doesn't have an active role then they will not have a position page. If a user has multiple active roles, then they may have multiple position pages as well.
Incorrect LinkedIn link on position
We use the LinkedIn link to match profiles against our database of positions. If the LinkedIn link on The Org is incorrect (or missing), then we can't match the profile correctly.
The person has opted out of The Org
People can opt out of appearing on The Org by requesting it here. We take privacy very seriously and do our best to prevent people from being added who do not wish to participate.
The person is not real
There are many fake profiles on professional networks and we do our best to sort them out. We used advanced AI technology to help determine whether a profile is real or not.
The company is not listed
If we don't have the company page then it is not possible for the person to have a position page. The company could have requested removal or may have been blocked because it's not a real company.
